Wow... what a week it has been!  I told you all on Thursday of my flight to Maryland for the weekend and that I would recap for you when I got back.  Well, as you know I flew to Maryland for a couple job interviews, to also check out a room for rent, and to spend some time with my babe. Downtown Annapolis Without giving the intricate details of the weekend... lets just say that out of the two job offers I recieved, I accepted the one from  Palate Pleasers  in Annapolis Maryland.  They are a family owned and operated bakery just outside of downtown Annapolis, and have been in buesiness for 20 years in July 2010!  The magic of the internet has allowed this catering company to increase it's cake business and asked me of all cake decorators to help them increase that business even more. SB 1070.. Why Arizona! WHY!?

Recently we've seen changes in Arizona state law.. i'm sure you all know what i'm talking about, SB 1070.  I do find it kind of funny that even though we are trying to fight immigration, grocery stores are doing just the opposite.  Stores like Fry's food, and Albertson's LLC are catering to the mexican's now more than ever before.  Behold the tres leche cake and it's triumphant return to all Albertson's stores near you! Tres Leche directly translates to "three milk", obviously named for the content of the cake.  If you've never had a tres leche cake, it is a spongecake doused with a sweet cream, filled with Bavarian cream, and iced with whip cream.  It's an extremely rich and moist cake and i'm sure that you will love it.  The picture above and below are examples of the tres leche cake that I made. If the cakes weren't enough, we now have a new racial profiling section in our store.  Pinata's, religious candles, pinto b
